Is Forest School Right For Me?

Ask your child these things to see if this program is a right fit:

Can I tolerate being bundled up in a variety of different clothing?

Do I have the ability to follow safety rules and boundaries?

Can I participate in groups safely with others?

Do I have resilience to be outdoors in a variety of outdoor conditions?

Gear Guide

There is no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing! Here are some helpful tips and tricks for staying comfortable in any weather. Click the link below to access the full document:

Other Items To Bring

Backpack

A good water repellant backpack is key to keep your child's items all together, clean and dry. Make sure it is not too heavy though . No more than 20% of child's weight.

Water Bottle

Please pack a FULL reusable water bottle. Minimum 32 oz. is suggested.

Lunch box

Please pack lunches in a hard shell, leakproof lunch box if possible. It is suggested to remove packaging prior to packing lunch if possible to create less litter on site. No nut products please!

Change of Clothes

Please provide a FULL change of clothes in case your child gets wet or exceptionally dirty. So that is a shirt, pants, underwear, socks, and gloves in winter.

Wet Bag

Please pack a wet bag or large Ziploc for any of your child's wet gear to be sent home in.

Tea Cup

An insulated, metal or silicone cup is recommended. No breakables please!
